The Fall Palate....T-shirts and shorts are exchanged for sweaters and kakis, highlighted locks of hair are exchanged for more earthly tones, and pastel lip glosses and blushers are exchange for rich hues of spices and berries. Fall makeup reflects the earthy colors of the outdoors: terracottas, mochas, buttery yellows bring your face and your mood into the season of Autumn.

Leaves aren't the only things that change with the seasons....Terracotta, Sienna, Rust, Cinnamon, Mocha, Chestnut, Ginger, Butterscotch, Vanilla, Taupe, Chocolate, Olive

Eyes
Olives, creams, terracottas, rich browns make autumn eyes in season. Try lighter shades on brow bone and lid and richer, darker colors in the crease.

Cheeks
This fall cheeks are full of color with warm blush-worthy hues. Soft color is best, no harsh lines. There are several ways to apply blush. One of the leading celebrity makeup artist, Bobbi Brown, says that this season, blush looks best when applied in natural circular strokes. She says the idea is to make the cheeks look flushed.

Lips
Lips become creamy and rich and matte this fall. Say "Bye, Bye" to glossy lips for October (Autumn winds alone are reason enough not to sport gloss this Fall.) Gloss is nice for summer, but fall lips are more sophisticated.

Skin
Creamy skin is in for Fall. Creamy foundation delivers more coverage than its sheerer counterparts and provides a more sophisticated matte look. Don't forget a light dusting of loose powder to set the look. Shimmer, glittery skin looks great for a snowy holiday party, but not so much for fall. Dewy skin is for spring and summer, not fall.

Nails
Smooth, shiny, rich colors. Same as skin, avoid glitters and shimmers in fall. Nails are shorter and slightly squared. While French manicures are classic, they are bit on the lighter side and are best in spring and summer.
