When negotiating on a wedding photography package, don’t forget to specify that you want a schedule. This will help you to effectively manage your time and you won’t be scampering to the reception!  Concentrate on photos. Try not to chat it up with the photographer if it distracts them from getting the next shot. Put into the printed schedule when and where the photo sessions are taking place before and after the ceremony. Kindly but firmly appeal to the wedding party and relatives you want in the photos to go immediately to these locations so that you don't waste time trying to round everyone up.

Talk with the Photographer BEFORE the wedding; suggest to him some poses that you want taken.  If it is important to you to have a photo with your mom, then tell him ahead of time.  You and you soon to be husband need to sit down and decide if there are any specific poses you want.  Don’t feel pressured to come up with too many, remember a professional photographer will already have poses in mind.

Remember, you are only going to do this ONCE, so you’ll really want nice photos to last a lifetime.  Do not trust you wedding photos to just anyone!  Check out your photographer’s portfolio before you sign the contract.  I cannot stress enough how important a good photographer is, this is one area that you DO NOT WANT TO SKIMP ON!!!!

Your make-up; pale colors do not show up well in photographs, which means you in your white dress will look pale.  To remedy this problem you will want to wear your make-up a bit darker than you normally do.  Not so heavy and dark that you do not look like your self, just up a notch or two.  If you do not normally wear make-up, at least a week before the wedding start practicing!  You’ll just want to enhance what you already have.  Still not sure how to do it?  Head to your local department stores Clinique or Este Lauder counter for a free makeover, be sure to tell them you are trying to find the right look for your wedding.  Or experiment at home and take pictures with a disposable camera, try different make-up styles and see what photographs best on you; just be sure you wear a white blouse in the pictures!
