Enrichment Ideas
(1)  Using hymns in the home: for example, our teacher taught us to go to the back of the hymn book where it gives Meters (page 405) and pick out groups of titles that have the same meter. This means we can sing any of the songs in that group to the music of any of the others in the group. We experimented. Great fun. Helps you concentrate on the words as you hear them to a different tune.

Enrichment Game Ideas New!

RS Jeopardy is a fun game to play during the annual RS birthday celebration. One sister writes out Jeopardy-style questions on colored 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper and tapes them to the chalk board. She assigned point values to the questions. Then divide into two groups and battle it out to see which team knew more about RS history.

You could adapt the game to do RS Bingo or RS Tic Tac Toe, as well. You could even try to incorporate some of the newer, trendier game shows into your game. Why not play The Weakest Link or Who Wants to be a Millionaire using RS history. It could truly be a fun game. Have you seen the show Street Smarts? This would be a fun adaptation. Have two sisters be your “off the street” people. Ask these two people all of your RS trivia questions before hand and write down their answers. Then during Enrichment, divide the sisters into two teams, excluding the two sisters (or brethren) you used before. The two teams have to guess who got the answer right or if anyone got it right. The team that is the most accurate wins.
