The Arms
15. Drape fabric over the arm, folding 1/3 of if forward where
the arm meets the back of the chair. Staple the fabric on the
outside of the arm to the wooden frame. (SEE FIGURE M)
16. On the other side of the arm (the inside of the arm), tuck
the fabric through the frame and out through to the outside. Pulling
taut, staple to the frame. (SEE FIGURE N)
17. On the top of the arm where you folded over the fabric, find
the center. With sharp scissors, cut a slit all the way to the
end of the fold. (SEE FIGURE O) As you unfold the fabric, you'll
see how this slit helps the fabric wrap around the arm. Pull both
ends taut and staple to the fame.
18. At the front of the arm, take the excess fabric and fold
to the outside of the chair in a neat set of pleats. (SEE FIGURE
P) Staple overage to frame.
19. Repeat steps for the other arm.
