|
| 1. Start with
a normal headband. Our's is plastic and about an 1/2"
thick.Get out glue gun, fire it up, and set it aside
(being careful to always to keep it away from
children, pets, even husbands for safety). |
|
|
2.
Make sure to use flat buttons with holes, instead
of the kind that have a loop in the back. |
| 3.
If you want to make a solid color button headband,
be sure to sort the buttons out into colors. I found
this step was helpful when I even made the multi-colored
button headband, because this way I could find the
color I needed next. |
|
|
4.
Place a drop of glue on the back of the first button
and stick it to the end of the headband. |
| NOTE:
It's important to find buttons that are the right
size for your headband width. If the buttons are too
big for the headband, they will be easy to break off.
If they are too small, the headband will show through.
That is why it is essential to find the right size
headband for the job. ALSO: some headbands taper from
smaller at the ear pieces to larger at the top. Make
sure to inspect your headband to see if this is the
case. |

From here, you just keep adding buttons. It's that
easy! |
| 6.
Here is my first one. Not too shabby. |
|
|
7.
After I finished the colored one, I made a plain white
one. My buttons come from a bucket of buttons (from
our local discount store). Going through them, I found
a cute bunny button. It wasn't the same as the rest
of the round buttons I was using, but it was just
so cute, that I added it to my headband. |
