WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Eggs Food coloring/or prepackaged dyes
cups spoons
lots of paper towels 1/4 inch graphic vinyl tape
vinyl letters

STEP BY STEP
1. Hard boil several eggs. Lay out to dry and cool.

2. Mix food color or egg dying tablets with 2/3 cups of water.

3. TO MAKE THE STRIPED EGGS:

Making sure eggs are completely dry, take the graphic tape and stick around the middle diameter of the egg.  Turn the egg vertically and stick tape around the egg. Continue around the egg making patterns. Remember the part of the egg that is covered with tape will remain white, while the untaped part of the egg will change color.

4. Place egg in one of the cups of dye and let it set. Let stand for 1-5 minutes until desired color is reached.
5. TO MAKE THE WORDED EGGS:

Unpeel vinyl letters and place on a dry egg to form words. Pay attention to make sure letters are straight.

6. Place in dye and let set.

7. FOR BOTH EGG PATTERNS:

After egg is to desired color, gently remove it from the dye with a spoon. Place it gently on some paper towels to dry. Let dry several hours before peeling off the vinyl tape/letters.

Crafty Chic Tip: If the tape or letters aren't sticking, gently warm the egg up by holding it over a warm burner. CAUTION: please be careful not to burn yourself. Do not leave warm burner unattended.  This will help the vinyl stick to the egg surface.
