Ribbon Crossed Bulletin Boards

by Lori Garcia, editor-in-chief

SUPPLIES:

- Bulletin board

- approx. 6 yards of ribbon

- Hammer

- Enough fabric to cover it, patterns work well.

- Glue gun/ glue sticks

- Paint Brushes/ paint

STEP BY STEP:

1. Using a hammer (or pulling really hard) take the frame off your bulletin board.

2. Cut the fabric so it cover the board and overlaps about two inches.

3. Crafty Chic tip: Cut notches out of the corners. This sill make the fabric fold around the board better.

4. Put glue around the edges of the board and turn it up on the side.

5. Make sure you smooth the sides down well to ensure the frame will fit back on.

6. Now this is where it gets a little tricky if you're not the most precise person in the world--I'm not! Taking the ribbon, make diagonal stripes across the board, using hot glue to adhere the ribbon.

7. You may want to paint the frame of your bulletin board. Ours looked a lot more finished when we painted it.

8. Once the frame is dry, hot glue them back onto the board.
