SUPPLIES:
White computer paper
Enough stickers for the entire alphabet
Brads (gold fasteners)
Single hole punch
Markers, pencils
2-3 squares of 8-1/2x11" foam
Ruler
Glue gun
STEP BY STEP:
1.
Cut 26 sheets of computer paper into 5 by 5 inch squares.
Use a ruler and pencil to section off a 1 inch section by the
left side of one of the sheets of paper. (see opposite picture)
2. Using a single hole punch, punch two or three holes along
the side. (We started off with three holes, but then we opted
for only two.)
3. Measure an inch and 1/2 down the page and make a tick mark.
Make several of these across the page. Then, draw a line to
connect the dots.
4. Make another guide line another inch and 1/2 down the page.
5. Using a black marker, draw the letter A several times larger
than the rest of the sentence...be sure to leave room for the
sticker.
Crafty Chic tip: You may want to
put the sticker on first to know how much room you have for
the words.
6. Cut out two pieces of the same color of foam as the same
size as the paper pages. In our case, they are 5 by 5 ".
7. Use the hole punch to punch through the foam. It's a little
harder to punch through the foam, but it's possible.
8. Stick in the metal brads and close the ends to form a book.
9. Cut out 2 1/4 wide strips in the blue
foam. Cut one side with scrapbooking scissors. Glue those
two strips along the spine.
10. Using the yellow foam, cut out two
small circles or using the hole punch to punch out two small
circles. Glue these over the brads on the front of the book.
11. Finally, place a sticker on the yellow
foam and cut it out, leaving a 1/4 inch border. Glue it
to the front of the book to finish it off.
