Supplies:

- 8 feet of thread for each ring (We double our thread for durability. If you single-thread your rings, you will only need 4 feet of thread.) Regular sewing thread will do, but other thin nylon or wire thread would also work. You could also try elastic thread and see if it would fit the bill.
NOTE: Make sure the thread matches or coordinates with your beads since it will be shown.

- needle small enough to fit through the beads you've chosen. (It's not essential to have a needle, but it's definitely faster.)

- beads - approximately 126 of long cylinder beads (about 1/4" long) and 72 round "seed" beads (tiny seed-like beads)

Step by Step:

1. String beads on thread, alternating round and cylinder beads. There should be 16 sets of beads, or 32 beads total. (SEE FIGURE 1)

2. Take the end of the thread and thread it through the fifth round bead for form a diamond. (SEE FIGURE 2)

3. Working on the same end, add one cylinder bead, a round bead, and another cylinder bead. Thread through the third original circle bead to form a second diamond. (SEE FIGURE 3) Continue this process a second time to make three diamonds. Tie a knot between the first original round bead BEFORE slipping the thread through it. (SEE FIGURE 3) Now, you have completed one row of diamonds.

4. Making the second row of diamonds-- Add the following beads in order: cylinder, round, cylinder, round, cylinder. Turn the thread so you are creating the second row of diamonds, and slip the thread through the round bead at the bottom of the diamond you just created. (SEE FIGURE 4).

5. Add the following beads: cylinder, round, cylinder, and slip the thread through the next diamond's bottom round bead. (SEE FIGURE 4) Continue one until you have completed two rows of diamonds.

6. Continue this process until you have eight rows of diamonds. The image below shows only five rows, but you will need eight. (SEE FIGURE 5)

7. The next step joins the three point ends to form the ring. (SEE FIGURE 6)

8. Here's your finished product:
