Book Review by Lori Garcia, editor-in-chief

written by Chad Daybell, Illustrated by
Roger Whiting
There are many LDS board books
available featuring the scriptures, Articles of Faith and
temples. I think I own almost every one of them because they
are good teaching tools for the younger set. I Know the
Modern Prophets, however, is the first board book I've
seen that teaches children about the latter-day prophets.
The book itself gives interesting,
little known facts about each prophet from Joseph Smith to
Gordon B. Hinckley. The best part of this book is that the
facts are about these honorable men when they were young boys.
Kids will relate to this book and enjoy learning more about
the prophets as children like themselves.
The illustrations are nicely done,
in a simplicitic yet modern style that will captivate any
toddler and preschooler's attention. As an adult, it's refreshing
to see a new illustrator in the LDS board book genre.
